Our Journey
By Isla Co was born out of a deep love for the Philippines and a passion for showcasing its beauty to the world.
The journey began in 2018 when my sister Kris envisioned starting a travel business during a family trip to our motherland. Inspired by her idea, our Aunty Neneng launched Chrisma Travel & Tours, building it into a thriving agency. Today, my cousin Darling and her husband Justin continue to lead it with excellence creating unique travel experiences around the world.
For me, the Philippines has always been close to my heart. Born in Davao, I moved to Australia in 1982 with my mum and sisters, Gen and Kris. While our visits to the Philippines typically revolved around Davao, a recent trip with my daughter, Isla, rekindled my desire to explore my roots and more of my motherland of 7,000+ islands.
That journey reminded me of the breathtaking beaches, the warmth of the people, and the distinct charm of each island. It inspired me to build on my family’s legacy by creating By Isla Co—a curated travel experience company showcasing the heart and soul of the Philippines.
